A personal Python project for recording grades and generating student reports, with JSON persistence and separate tests for the models, calculations, storage, and CLI.
The problem
Turn individual grade entries into consistent student reports, while keeping records available between command-line sessions.
The implementation
The application separates student and grade models, average calculations and classifications, JSON persistence, and CLI commands into four modules. Each layer has a corresponding pytest test file.
Skills in practice
This project focuses on modular application design: giving each layer a clear responsibility and checking calculations, storage, and user-facing commands through automated tests.
